"NaGeira House, a Registered Heritage Structure, is a grand home located on a quiet street, nestled in the historic, romantic & adventurous town of Carbonear, on the beautiful Baccileau Trail. The inn takes its name from legendary Irish Princess Sheila NaGeira, who was kidnapped by pirates in the 17th century, rescued by Peter Easton, who at that time was a Privateer for Queen Elizabeth I, and ended up falling in love with one of Easton's crew, Gilbert Pike, whom she married and lived quite happily with in Carbonear, until their death. A park on Pike's Lane in Carbonear pays homage to Princess Sheila Nageira and is said to include her grave marker, as well as those of the Pike family.

NaGeira House offers 3 bright, spacious guest rooms, elegantly appointed with ensuite baths, down duvets, robes, phone, clock, wireless internet, TV & DVD Players, plus a selection of DVD's for your enjoyment, along with an extensive selection of reading material and magazines, exquisite woodwork & much more. There are beautiful fireplaces, ample space to relax in the living room, & private nooks & crannies in the garden where one can unwind after a day of adventuring.

Our home is elegant yet welcoming, tranquil but filled with lots of laughter..."A Home Away From Home" in true Newfoundland Spirit. We have a Tea Room on the premises and a Craft Shop on the grounds, where we showcase local artisans' works and offer them for sale. We also host weddings on our grounds, dependent on the size of the wedding party, of course, and a lot of newlyweds have their wedding photos done on the grand staircase in our beautiful home.

We serve a wonderful Continental Breakfast and Complimentary Snacks in the Evening for our guests...Cookies, Loaves, Breads, Jams, etc. along with Tea or Coffee or Beverages of your choice. Plus, we also have a BBQ that you are quite welcome to use during your stay with us.

We want to make your stay as memorable as possible, and will strive to ensure that you leave feeling like you're part of the family. Our Golden, Laci, and our Blue Merle Sheltie, Baby Bleu, can greet you at the door, but they DO have their own 'home' downstairs for guests that prefer not to have them in the main area of the house.

Nageira House is allowing us to live our dream of making new friends and wonderful memories, and we would be honored to have you share that experience with us. We look forward to meeting you, and are equally excited at the prospect of having you return to stay with us, next time round!
